Four different Blues I have met within the last four weeks in three different locations here in Central Bulgaria. The first three species are new to me and are definitely worth highlighting. But all four are no less than a gemstone collection! So, clockwise:
1. Polyommatus eros – Eros blue. June 19. Uzana, Gabrovo.
2. Scolitantides orion – Chequered blue (female). July 10. Hotnitsa, Veliko Tarnovo.
3. Aricia anteros – Blue argus, June 19. Uzana, Gabrovo.
4. Aricia agestis – Brown argus, July 13. Bozhentsi, Gabrovo.
