Welcome to my beautiful world!

Issoria Lathonia

When a throne (heartleaf oxeye) is big enough to handle two Queens 🙂 These beautiful fresh specimens were photographed at almost 1500 m a.s.l. by a riverside overgrown with the already mentioned oxeye, and buddleia mint, where that day I observed two fritillary species dominating – Issoria lathonia (Queen of Spain Fritillary) and Argynnis paphia (Silver-washed Fritillary). August 26. Uzana, Gabrovo, Bulgaria.
