Since 2016 I have met Lattice brown only (or already!) four times. It’s always breathtaking, and every time it happens at the same location. Guess where? Yes, in our backyard! I was delighted to spot this flawless female peacefully hanging on the ceiling of the shelter yesterday afternoon! To my pleasant surprise she spent a few hours at our place, mostly sitting still at the same position, at times showing her distinctive wing clapping (reminds much the one of Maniola jurtina / Meadow brown). Too many words, I know, but why is she so gorgeous? July 2. Dryanovo, Gabrovo, Bulgaria.
