I like paying tribute to precious nectar sources, the cotton thistle is definitely one of them. That day I saw lots of Niobe fritillaries feeding on its flowers in addition to Whites, Blues and other Fritillaries. I couldn’t help but rejoice in such butterfly abundance. May 26.
