Euphydryas Aurinia Female
For the past two weeks, due to the unusually long rainfalls here, I had a few opportunities to observe butterflies during rain. Quite the interesting experience, I must say. This photo of the wonderful Marsh fritillary female was taken just a few minutes before it started raining. We stood in the dribble together – she, still on the Ligustrum privet flowers, and me, admiring her beautiful wing patterns from up close 🙂 May 30. Ganchovets, Dryanovo, Bulgaria.
