Wohoo! Say hello to my first captured butterfly this year – Nymphalis polychloros! I found it today, 20.02.2019, sitting on a pile of dirt in a plowed field around the town I live in. As you can see on the photo, it was sunbathing, for the temperatures here increased sharply to +15-16C few days ago. Yesterday I saw two Comma butterflies, probably a couple. So, I believe the butterfly season has officially started here, which I can’t help but be happy with 🙂
P.S. Besides, it is my first ever picture of the Large tortoiseshell, so you can imagine my excitement 🙂
