I took this photo of Aglais io in my garden, where I have two buddleja trees. The summer lilacs start blooming late in June and have flowers until November, attracting butterflies of all kinds. This summer I had a lot of them in my garden flying around the trees and feeding on the tasty fragrant lilac flowers. Surely I took every chance of capturing them, so if you see shots of butterflies on buddleja flowers in my feed, you should know they were taken in my garden 🙂 However this one let me take a picture of it only after landing under the roof of the garden house.
