Welcome to my beautiful world!

Melanargia Galathea

It seems Marbled Whites were in abundance this year. I saw lots of them in all of my butterfly places. Interestingly, they were mostly females. “Unusually, the females lay eggs while they are flying over grass. The eggs fall to the ground, where they stick to blades of grass”. – The Illustrated World Encyclopedia of Butterflies and Moths by Sally Morgan.
